As part of a newly built prep school in Milton, GA., this project was more than just installing a fence around a tennis court—it was about creating a finished space where students and athletes could enjoy the game for years to come. At first glance, the project seemed straightforward, but as with many custom fence jobs, a couple of unique challenges required our crew to think on their feet. One challenge was that the tennis court was not built to the exact dimensions of a standard tennis court. Because of this the, the fence layout required careful planning to ensure the finished product looked intentional, balanced, and built specifically for the space.
The second challenge came from a change in elevation on one end of the court due to the smaller court size. Where the court surface met the surrounding concrete and sidewalk area, there was roughly a 2.5-foot height difference, with the posts being installed on the opposite side of that transition. Our guys put their heads together and determined the best possible approach to creating a fence line that remained functional, structurally sound, and visually cohesive with the rest of the court.
